About Us

Welcome to Frankie, Lola and Friends. Lisa started this rescue in honor and memory of her beloved dogs Frankie and Lola, both shelter mama dogs. It’s amazing how discarded shelter dogs can enrich our lives. They are truly the best.

Our mission is simple. We rescue dogs from the shelters and streets along with educating folks on the importance of spaying and neutering. This is the root of our over population problem in Los Angeles.

We do our best to match our animals with the appropriate home based on lifestyle, environment, and experience. There is no one-size-fits-all. Los Angeles Pit Bull matchmaker 🙂

We are a foster-based rescue rooted in dog psychology and are of the belief that training never ends. Dogs thrive with routine and structure. When your dog is fulfilled, there are typically no behavioral issues.

We spend a lot of effort getting to know our dogs so that we could figure out who they are and what type of home would best suit them.
